To add another thought to the idea: What is the law regarding an unloaded, secured by lockbox weapon, with the ammo secured in a separate, locked compartment?

I know the SDA is very specific about it, and the solution for most is to park off campus. I get that, no questions there, but I really have zero idea with an unloaded and secure weapon.

Perhaps call the local sheriff and ask? I'd ask very, very carefully since you don't want to give the wrong impression.. heh.

The federal gun free zone laws around schools and the Oklahoma statutes would still apply. It is a felony! See bettingpython and BBs posts above!!!!!

So the answer to the question of any and all guns on K-12 and votech property is no matter how you slice, how you conceal it, and anything else you put into the equation it is a felony. If it is ever discovered you will be a non voting felon without a concealed carry permit, and without the right to own any guns.

Almost forgot about the only exception to the Law is on duty law enforcement officer/contracted security.

do you think that will sink in? :hypnotize:

Nope ... for every one of "us" there is a dozen of "them" it seems ... :flybuzz:

It is amazing how such a simple concept can be so utterly difficult for many ...

There are a lot of places I carry that I probably technically shouldn't ... like every stinking store that has a GunBuster's Sign.

BUT I will not carry on a school campus or in a state or federal building. There is absolutely no reason for me to risk losing my right to vote (among other things). Nevermind the ass-kicking I would get from GC when I finally convinced him to bond me out ...:mad::mad::mad:

(Me being a felon would not exactly make it easy for him to have the guns he is required to carry at work around now, would it??:cry11:)
