Make your rice the night before and then store it in the frig until ready to fry it. I use the old Parboiled long grain rice because it is lower carb. Cook it in my steamer the night before, refrig it and the next day it is lite and fluffy with very little sticking. Only time I want sticky rice is if I am making rice balls for something special.Some sticky rice. Wash it repeatedly then use butter.
