I guess you're entitled to your opinion no matter how misguided it may be.

I know that empathy for antis is pretty rare around here, but try to put yourself in their shoes, since they're the ones we're trying to convince.

Persuading people by freaking them out isn't really a good strategy.

E: In before someone claims that anti-gun people are subhuman babbys who can't be reasoned with.

We are thinking in their shoes. The mistaken idea that gun laws prevent illegal guns is their biggest fallacy. This merely gives a visual check on that thought.

I don't know if you are aware, but I started the OSU chapter for the SCCC. I was very involved with campus carry while in college along with NikatKimber. I've put a lot of thought and time into expanding our rights. To have my efforts mocked and/or berated by the people I was fighting for is not something I'm prepared to tolerate.

Two things in this thread made me facepalm.

1. The guy in the mask. This ranks with the CCoC empty holster protests in terms of idiocy.
2. The fact that Rshep, someone who allegedly got into college, thought he was actually promoting a gun-free campus.

Well I for one think the holster protests and this demonstration were a great idea, along with all the work Dustin and Nikat did while they were here, it makes people think and quite successfully it would appear. but what I am more surprised about is how quickly a few of you are to judge me for not immediately making the correct assumption about the situation, really someone can't make a mistake? I was running late to class and barely saw the guy from a distance, I knew there was something wrong with the situation hence why I posted here. Thanks for reminding me why I stopped coming to this site in the first place awhile back.

You were fighting for the right thing in the wrong way.

I'm sorry that it hurts your feelings when people question your actions.

Maybe he's a real criminal and just waiting for the right time to attack ;)

So crazy it just might work once, like the football play Sooner DVM was showing us.

Yes it is a big fallacy, but one of these days the antis may get smart and hire the same advertising agencies that were so effective in the anti smoking campaign, and use the same format style. The ones they are using now are quite mild.

NO. You absolutely, CANNOT make a mistake. To do so, places you in the virtual pillory where we, in the peanut gallery, may skewer you with our rapacious wit.
