To have my efforts mocked and/or berated by the people I was fighting for is not something I'm prepared to tolerate.
Oh, the irony here........

Difference being, smoking around others can be harmful, whereas just the act of carrying a gun alone will not. We're not arguing for the ability to shoot whenever and wherever we please. Just as the anti smoking laws don't prevent the people from carrying their smokes with them, just smoking them.
No, one here said it did. Public perception of gun rights advocates can strongly effect the outcome of any cause. For or Against.
Second here, what are you proposing? Don't advertise at all, because if we start being successful they'll bring out the big guns in advertisement?
No, not at all. Again the point I am trying to get across is that the facts don't really matter to the Antis, it is a battle of public perception. If someone can make a strong, overwhelming argument against something then the people will in most cases follow truth be damned. Look at all level of politics across the country. It works because people are too dang lazy to get up off the couch and research the facts for themselves. Why should they when it is easy to get info from the idiot box every day?
I am just surprised that they have not tried to do this yet.
By the way, I happen to support concealed carry on non private college campuses.
I know that empathy for antis is pretty rare around here, but try to put yourself in their shoes, since they're the ones we're trying to convince.
Which is part of our problem when it comes to recovering our gun rights...
We waste valuable time and resources trying to convince people generally incapable of reasoned thinking when it comes to firearms.
