no way am I gonna risk my job for falsifying a signature, you got to be kidding me

No - I am not kidding. Anything I order that I can't get delivered by the US mail I specify adult signature required. Fed-Ex, no problem; ring doorbell wife signs and they're out of there. UPS - nope. Never happens. Package is just dropped on the front porch. Even when it's obvious someone is home because of 3 cars parked in the driveway they just drop the package on the porch and leave. Our dog always alerts us to the presence of someone on our porch. More than once I've gone to look and see who it was and all I see is the backside of a UPS guy walking back to or getting into his truck. I gave up calling UPS years ago to complain about it.

I'm positive that there are UPS drivers that do their jobs correctly but not the guy or guys that deliver into my neighborhood.

In my experience, they never falsify signing a name. They just sign the word "Porch" instead :D

This is when I used to ship parts and customers would call me up asking where they were. It wasn't limited to UPS, but included FedEx and DHL (when they operated) too. Blew my mind.

No problems at my house now, aside from UPS getting to my house at like 7:30 PM on their route. But that's better than FedEx, which has held my packages a day or two if they got here ahead of schedule, as to not deliver my 2nd day shipments the next day.

Never heard of anyone signing "porch", that is an option for the "driver release" feature on our DIAD(board)

dishonesty is not tolerated at my job.

and the 7:30 thing... yea that sucks.. working til 8:30 and beyond is even worse. The dispatcher is responsible for that, not the driver.
