We had also been talking a lot about herd management and the importance of taking out the old and barren doe. This was one of their doe this year. She told me that she came out to feed alone, and was alone for 30 mins before she shot her. She also noted how fat she was and the fact that she was gray and “had a huge head.” I think she judged this one very well and made a good call on taking this one out.

A big congrats to you and your daughter!!!

In my opinion, not enough emphasis is placed on “herd management”.

If my rough math skills are correct, that’s 57,554 deer checked in during a 16 day season. WOW!!!

Very nice work Dennis! You aren't making it any easier on my 6.8 build! And with shots like that I'd probably just stick to that Timney trigger. You don't need anything else. It's working! lol

22” .920 Shilen Match grade, hand lapped stainless bull barrel.

That's impressive velocity with a 100 grain bullet from a 22" AR.

I had never really paid attention to the WSSM stuff, and I found that reasonably priced brass isn't difficult to find!!

Now I kinda wish you had kept it to yourself!!

The 243 WSSM of @dennishoddy that I shot at the ENS in Ponca was amazing. My only complaint is the COST!!! lol
