When I first heard this story I couldn't help thinking, "Okay, so this d!@#hole wrote that drivel, but did nobody read it before they printed it?"

Looks like there are consequences for exercising rights under the First Amendment, too. Who knew? Maybe the guys at Recoil have some openings.

The First Amendment is about the government interfering with political speech, not a private entity/publication that can choose what appears under their editorial banner. There will always be consequences for being intemperate on somebody else's dime.

The fact that Metcalf was scheduled to be replaced/retire in January just makes this betrayal even worse.

After years of living off of checks funded by the firearms/shooting community, he fires a parting shot that basically flips the bird to that same community.
