So what is everyones favorite Modern War/Military type movie? I can't really define modern so we will say post 1979. Props if you can name a good Marine's, Army, Navy, and Air Force movie.

Even though it's a kraut movie, das boots was a pretty cool movie about u-boats in WW II

If you haven't seen the full version with subtitles, get it. I know (or more correctly, knew) one U-Boat guy, and he said Das Boot was so accurate it gave him flashbacks. He said he noticed at some point during the movie he could actually smell the boat. He said the smell is very like a hog pen . . .
