Fished with the fly rod today from the kayak.
My phone in the zip lock bag ended up sliding forward into the nose of the boat so didn’t get pics of the perch and small Kentucky bass. (6-8”) that were caught, but anything on the 3wt rod with 2 lb tippit is a full on fight.

Stuck a healthy cat on my 3wt at Crystal Lake last week. Was over in Sallisaw on Tuesday and had plans to hit the LIR but then the Corps was like, "lolwut, **** you man we running this show" and started full generation.

Planning to take a day trip somewhere on Saturday to hopefully find some fish. Thought about maybe Tulsa for the Arkansas, or picking a dam with some minimal flow in hopes of hybrids.

They weighed the fish at mr bass on certified scales and it weighed 11 1/2 pounds but it looks bigger to me

Caught some sandies on Eufala about 10 days ago. Few decent large mouth too. Sandies were all caught trolling. Probably 40 keepers in 2 days. But everything was spaced out. Also, caught a little Ouachita map turtle. Very cool. My 3 year old son loved it.
