A group of us went to Lake Texoma this morning.
In just a couple of hours we got a limit for 10, 100 stripers/hybrid stripers. Pic is the four in my group with the pile.

Few days ago I went out and did some fishing on our trip. Onslow beach on Camp Lejeune. Spent the morning walking the dog on the beach, proposed to the girlfriend around lunchtime, and caught these critters that evening. Caught a stingray, Atlantic croaker, a hermit crab, and an unknown. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Very Nice @HoLeChit

That bottom one is a Spot Or Spot croaker as some call it and the one above it looks like a Pinfish Lagodon.

Here is something about the Spot and other Croaker being used as bait for large Speckled Trout.

Croaker are delicious. Used to eat tons of them as a younger person. Trout are better but you never know if they're running the beaches. Best bet is around structures in open water. The other is a pinfish. Good bait too. BTW, that's a skate. You know those imitation scallops? The wings off those are used to make them. Skin them and cut the scallops out.

Dang if I knew that I would have kept the skate. I’ve heard you can eat the wings and they’re decent, but I wasn’t too sure.
