Shotgunned coyote from New Year's Eve morning. Had the foxpro about 20 yards out in a mowed hay field in front of me with my back to a cedar in the fence row. I looked away to my left and looked back and he was sniffing the caller and bugging out. I was a 1/2 mile from the road and I only carried it out because an entomologist buddy at OSU wanted to collect ticks off of it for some research he is doing but I thought it would make a good pic.

I got this male this morning. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1421245615.827747.jpg he was working his way towards where a heifer had just calved. .243 with an 85gn barnes tsx over 46.3gn (safe in my rifle) of IMr 4831 dropped him hard.

Very awesome ! Of all the critters I've trapped and killed a red fox is one thing I've never caught or had the opportunity to shoot. I killed a gray fox several years ago while calling coyotes but never had an opportunity at a red fox. Big congrats !
