Well ... I might have him take you up on that. Let's see what happens when he gets back home from Autozone ...

just give me a shout - you got my number and know how to get a hold of me in general....and I woulda sent him to the Oreilly on Rockwell I get better service and luck from them. I'll be off in an hour and headed home

He might have gone there ... who knows ... he uses them both about equally ... "The cars" are not my area of expertise ... :scratch:

if the battery tests good a length of wire and jump the connection from the battery to the starter directly. It will either try to crank or it won't.

This is the fastest way to troubleshoot your problem. It will isolate it to either being a crap battery or an electrical issue. Without doing this you're going to have to just start replacing parts until you find the bad one.

Batteries are extremely tough to test without just flat out trying it. Starters use large surge currents that are not accurately replicated with most loads.
