Instead of .260, look for a 6.5Creedmoor. Although the 260 and 6.5cm are both twins in terms of ballistics, the configuration of the CM brass allows you more room to chase the lands as the throat wears. The Hornady match ammo with the 140 Amax is dead-nuts accurate, readily available and has very similar drop characteristics out to 1,000yds as a 300wmag. If you like a lighter bullet there are several other options as well.
