LOL. I have a few 10/22s. I toss all of my ammo in cans, so I want to be able to shoot it in anything.

2nd the question
I keep one box, just to test 22lr guns that I buy. If they will feed the Rem Gold, they will shoot anything. I have never had good luck with it. I will pay a couple $ more to buy Federal, or Winchester. Not saying it is bad, but I do not like it.
Some people on here have a lot of mis-fires with the Remington Gold.
If you shoot matches with .22 LR you'll notice that sort of thing.
If I had a failure to fire with a brand of hunting or self defense ammo, I'd notice that.
I don't do anything crucial with .22, and I've got tons of the the purdy gold ammunition.
I'll start noticing the one in ten thousand duds when I start eating beer cans, and armadillos start shooting back.
