GunBroker double billed me for a purchase

I was the winning bidder on a auction this morning. The auction showed an immediate payment was available through the GunBroker payment plan. I went through the process and GB replied that my credit card was not accepted and to try another card. I checked my credit card and it showed that my card was charged, not only once, but twice for the full amount of my purchase.

I called my credit card and they were very helpful but unable to cancel the second charge and stated the seller had to cancel or refund the amount. This sucks because the seller did not double bill me, GB did. I called the seller and my call was not answered. I sent him an email.

I am VERY unhappy at the moment. (strongest language I can use on a family viewed forum).

I've tried every possible way to do this. No luck so far.

Your credit card company stinks. AMEX would give me my money back and take care of the problem for me

If your credit card won't let you dispute a charge you need to quit carrying it and get one that will, cause there are literally thousands of them available.

Don't cancel it. Just quit using it.

Good gosh, I’d be ticked off too. Hoping it’ll be resolved pretty quick for ya.

Depending on the credit card processor (not your cc company) pending charges don’t immediately drop off. Most of the time it takes 24 hours for a pending charge to drop. I would bet the first transaction didn’t go through and will drop off after 24 hours.

I have been told before the charge has to settle before anything can be done.

It seems like he made the charge this morning.
