'...some of the concerns that have been expressed to me by law enforcement that the open carry makes their job more dangerous," he said. "It makes it more difficult for them to distinguish between the bad guys and the good guys. So, I will take all that into consideration. I haven't made a final decision yet."'

WTF? How does one figure that? How many bangers are out there carrying a G26 in a FIST kydex holster or any other such professional, practical set up?

He's not going to sign this bill. Calling it now...quote me later and I'll print and eat this post.

Exactly, the "bad guys" won't want to draw attention to themselves by wearing an openly visible weapon in a holster. The argument that they will is BS.

I also think he will veto it, hopefully there is enough support after the fact to override the veto.

The big question is HOW MANY bad guys ACTUALLY have a permit. I bet its a BIG FAT ZERO. So yes there point is bogus and sheeple at best.

I have 2 LEO neighbors and both are in favor of OC. Its the bad guys hiding it that scares them. One even said "if the OC laws is for those law abiding with a permit whats so major that gonna make'm suddenly go crazy and start a shooting rampage. Its the same people with more freadoms nothing more."

Only time will tell what is gonna happen. I for one hate waiting games.

I support open carry, and will open carry myself occassionally. However, I DO NOT AGREE with that. I know several people that have permits and shouldn't be allowed to carry due to their character. Sometimes bad guys do have the permits...although not often...

Motion to reconsider expired today, the bill status is now referred for enrollment which means it'll be printed and on his desk in the next day or 2. He then has 5 business days to decide what he wants to do. If he does nothing, or signs this becomes law 11/1/2010, if he vetoes on the last business day we may not have enough time to even try a veto over ride this legislative session which means we have to try again next year.
