Now that the governor has the bill it can be tracked here.

enter HB3354

This is a cool sight. When looking at the different sorts I saw that no bill in 2010 became law w/o signing. Of the 10 vetoes 6 happened w/in 24 hours of the deadline or on the deadline. The other 4 were vetoed w/in 2 days of receipt. Of the 257 he signed, the majority were signed w/in 36 hours of receipt. Some dates had several signed while others were one or two per date.

I hope this passes even though I don't plan to OC. I will CC a lot more often w/o fear of an accidental exposure.

He shows to currently only have 4 bills on his desk. I would image he gets to them fairly quickly.

I'm hoping Brad will see the light and know in his heart that this is a major step forward for constitutional rights, and just go ahead and sign it into law.

What affect, if any, would open carry have on places that prohibit firearms via the gunbuster sign? Any chance this could backfire?

It wouldn't have any affect on that.

All it does is make it legal to open carry and lets a few other judges carry into there court rooms.

Legally, no. I was wondering if it would cause more places to throw up the signs.

:preocc: This is my concern as well. I believe this is likely to happen. Because the law only gives you the right to open carry if you have a concealed carry permit, and because a private land owner has the right to prohibit you from carrying, I think there is a good chance that many businesses, upon seeing guns openly carried in their stores, will opt to ban all weapons on their premises. I could easily see a Walmart doing this. And I don't know about you, but I'm not stopping going to Walmart!
