Please call & e-mail the Governor and ask him to sign it into law. Talk to your friends and family and ask them to do the same. Sadly, only the liberals dead set on stripping liberties away from us lobby their legislators. Conservatives need to get involved and let their elected officials know our position! Please call and e-mail!

This is the first I'm reading of this. I thought the concealed permit would now include open carry. Unless you are just talking about changing the title on the license?

The current law was amended like this:

Everywhere the word concealed shows up it was changed to read "concealed or unconcealed". Unconcealed is defined as noted in a previous post.

As an aside if Henry vetos one must wonder how that will affect his NRA A rating?

In my opinion it will not affect it at all since the compromisers at the NRA are neutral on this. I may be wrong.

Comments?

Since NRA ratings are only made when someone is running for an elected position, and not revised on a continuing basis, his rating will obviously not change now. If he never runs for office again, he will never get a new rating.

So the speculation and gratuitous jab at the NRA ratings are irrelevant.

You're wrong, gun rights people are very vocal in Oklahome otherwise we wouldn't have CC to begin with or this bill would be still in committee instead of on the governor's desk.Calling or otherwise contacting the gov. is not a bad idea but I'm sure he has already decided his course of action.I like the premise that he will do nothing because of his obligations to the people who have been damaged by the storms. He did declare 32(?) counties disaster areas and there may be more before this storm pattern leaves. Walmart allows open carry in the stores in states that permit it. A lot of large retailers follow the law of the state or municipal codes for the area the store is physically located.
