well might rep keep his promise and voted again for it...

so is the issue completely dead now??? or does it have to be re-introduced next session???

It is dead for this year/this session. Next session it would have to start as a brand new bill (you know, the whole School House Rock thing - "I'm just a bill"), i.e., start from scratch.

Until next year. Hopefully we can get some of these scrubs out of office.

YES!!!! actively campaign against those who opposed this and the firearms freedom act, as well allowing okie to opt out of obama care, and finally those that voted against the state sovereignty bill......

I am actively volunteering for Brogdons campaign... he is really pro-gun.... good governor.....

Which one is that?

I'm very disappointed in the House's vote. Most of the arguments against the override were rubbish! Sad to think somebody with Roan's capacity is legislating. None of them could prove or even offer any data at all that suggested open carry would cause harm, but they made a point of saying we (people) don't -need- it. "You don't need it" doesn't mean it shouldn't be legal.

The walmart I go to says no firearms of any kind. Ever.

Wal-marts company policy states that whatever the law on firearms in the state where the store is is the policy of the stores.... just contact their corporate office and they will contact the store....

I recently bumped into an old high school buddy at wally world he is head of lost and prevention for 6 wal-mart stores in and around where I live.... he was the one that told me wal-marts company policy...

Someone send the Trooper's Association an email thanking them for lobbying against the Constitutional rights of the citizens they are paid to protect.

This issue actually got me to register on the site. I watched the live feed and was VERY disappointed in the results. I can't say I'm right wing on everything, actually I'm more left than right on a lot of issues...but the 2nd amendment is the law of the land and I still don't understand how any local, state, or federal law can keep a citizen from openly carrying about any weapon he or she may want to carry. Very disappointed and I should have emailed my rep. Feeling bad that I did not...I'll check the lists and see what the vote was from my area. I rarely vote on an off presidential election year, but it's probably high time I started.
