wow 1964.
this was the last year that america existed.
it died in 1965.
we haven't had a country since.

oh yeah, i was told *it was worse back then* by some boomers on this board tho.

Actually, I learned to PLAY Apache in 1964 while in a college band. At the time, I looked much like the bassman in the Shadows, including the "flattop" haircut.
Life was MUCH more fun then, and 20 yr-olds mostly didn't give a flip about politics, except for the DRAFT!
In 1965, I bought a .22 magnum rifle on my lunch hour (summer job) with NO FEDERAL CHECKS or FFL, and walked 6 blocks back through the center of town with the rifle (no case) slung on my shoulder. Walked by Penny's store that had WWII rifles displayed in open kegs for $14 to $18 each.
The 1968 GCA made a HUGE change in KY.

I have never heard of the group. The song sounded like something I would have heard on a old western (which I enjoy watching). I'm rather sure we didn't have a TV until the late sixties.
