I bet I would get 100 calls a week on houses I own and people wanting to buy them, Mexican accent 99% of the time.
For the last 3 or 4 months I have answered every call and told them my name is Mike and you have the wrong number.
They ask me if I own such and such address I tell them NOPE I rent and I get 100 calls a week from people wanting to buy this fools houses.
This is Mike and I rent and own nothing.

It has actually slowed the incoming calls.
I may only get 12 a week now and it may actually be less than that.

6 months of blocking numbers did not work.
I will continue to be someone else.

Blocking numbers is pointless when they are spoofed.

I get “offers” all the time to buy an 80 acre section of my place up there (the way the place was put together I get 3 tax bills for the 360 acres and another for my house place), and for some reason, they all want to buy the western 80 acres on the south side of the river. I ignored them for years, but I got curious a couple month ago and decided play along and see what they had to say.

My business phone number is also my mobile phone so I don’t have the luxury of ignoring calls. I get anywhere from 5 to 10 spam calls a day. All numbers that have my area code and number prefix mostly get ignored because they are 99% guaranteed to be spam. I’ve also received calls from people saying that they had a missed call from me which I never called. Some of them understand when I say that somebody spoofed my number, and other’s don’t understand what I’m talking about. I don’t understand why number spoofing can’t be stopped.

I had a scammer who was rude and relentless and was in Nevada. I found the town and reported to that towns police department and that was the last time he bothered me

I’ve gotten a spam call from myself before. That’s fun. The joys of number spoofing.

A few years ago, I got a call on my land line answering machine from a scammer who had spoofed a local number. Almost immediately after that was a message from a little old lady at that same number calling to tell me that someone had gotten ahold of my phone number and was using it to make scam calls. Oh, sweet summer child...

That was also the same answering machine where I had the outgoing message recorded in such a way that it tricked the robocalle into thinking that a person had answered. I got more than one burst of profanity recorded on that machine from a phone scammer.

My work phone cell number is being spoofed by some telemarketer/scammer. I get 5-10 calls per day form people wanting to know why I called them. I just tell them I didn't call and to block this number. Some are really angry. It's very annoying.

I have my phone set that “unknown” callers get silenced immediately. They still show up on the call log but never ring. I go through every one at the end of the day and block the numbers. My wife tells me I’m wasting my time, but it makes me feel good to make the SOB’s pull another number out of their hat the next time they want try me.

I don’t answer calls if they’re not in my contact list. If it’s important, they can leave a voicemail. I discovered that the more attention I give to them by Blocking Calls, only intensified the volume of these spam calls. So now I don’t even bother blocking anymore. It’s all about the contact list. It’s gotten to the point that if a new business or contact needs to reach me initially, I advise them to text me first introducing themselves.
With caller ID, @ least the Heavy Breathing & porno phone calls stopped ( you old dudes remember them )
