I have a gentleman interested in a stock that came off of a rifle and he needs it shipped from OK to TX. Is there anything that stands in the way of this from a legal perspective..

thanks

You only have to be concerned if the item can fire a projectile.

Not necessarily true.

As always the ATF library is always the best place to get this info.

Typically it is the SN'd portion of a firearm. So on a pistol you could ship anything except the frame. Slide, barrel, grips, mags, frame internals, but the frame itself, NO.

On the rifle it would be the receiver, use an AR15 as an example, anything except the lower could be shipped. Upper, barrel, bcg, mags, LPK, furniture, all OK.
