I wonder what they'd say if you answered "Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office"...?
I used to answer, "Homicide, Lt Marsh, can I help you?" ~~click~~
Do you know what's odd? I stay at a ton of hotels throughout the year and always use my work phone number as a contact. I get hundreds of spams calls on it. My personal phone, maybe one a month.
I get a call and a voice message and I listen to it and guess what? It is a Chinese woman telling me something and I deeply resent whatever she is saying.
With the SPAM calls I get on my cell, you have to speak or voice the word "hello". Then you hear a click of an automated link to a human, who then starts speaking their script. At that point we start playing music from my wife's music library on her cell into the mic on my phone. EVERY caller then gets blocked. I used to get close to 10 calls a day. Now I might get 4 or 5 a week.
They don't say anything. They just hang up. Lol
It took me about 6 months. I'd answer, tie up as much of their time as I could (if they are talking to me they aren't able to be scamming anyone else) until they'd hang up on me. Then I'd block that number and report it as a scam.
Rinse, repeat. That was about 3 years ago and like I said it took about 5, 6 months but I rarely get a phone call from a number not in my contacts. It is SO nice ...
I answer "cyber crimes division" never get to a name before they hang up.
I just answer and say "hello?" and when they start their spiel I say "hello?" they stop and say "Can you hear me" and I say "hello?" and then hang up.
Got one today, it was a woman with an Indian accent. She asked me "do you have Medicare Parts A and B," I then said, "Before I answer I need to get the web address of your Only Fans and ****hub pages to confirm your identity." For some unknown reason after she gasped she hung up...
