I have to admit, I am hooked on Jack Reacher books now thanks to my husband and Hollywood. :urwelcome:

My question is - I'm not able to get them from the library in order, so are there any that I have to read in sequence? I'm on book 13 now after reading 10.

Thanks in advance....

Not really, but there is a short story on Kindle that snapshots Reacher as a kid. IIRC, other than a few scattered references, it doesn't matter much.

Someone will appear soon and post an aggressive rebuttal and correction.

The novels dealing with his family (mother and brother) would probably make more sense if read in order, which I didn't do. Seems to me some of the books contradict each other in regards to Reacher's family, but they may be just due to reading them out of order. In any regard, each novel stands alone, so read 'em as ya get 'em!

I'm really enjoying the Reacher series. It did take him until the eighth novel to figure out that Glocks don't have safeties, though. The Swagger series is next on my list. Vince Flynn just flat kicks ass.

Leonard B Scott is from OK, and pretty good also. He was SF in 'Nam and pretty good with the details, accurate. I am reading Reacher in order, and am on book 13, 61 hours. Figured I'd finish the Reacher Series before I read the new Flynn book.
