Last time I went to Johnny's Carino's in OKC I had a couple adult beverages and the alcohol tax was $9 out of my $116 bill. It wasn't very long ago that two people could eat there for less than $40.
When I worked as a waiter, kitchen staff was optional, hostess/busboy/bartender was not.It was voluntary.
Servers are generally expected to tip out the busser and bartender at the end of their shift.Reading the Metropolitan policy has me wondering, how common is it for the restaurant to take a tip to the server and divide it amongst the rest of the staff? Cash or card, does it matter? IE are the servers obligated to put cash tips in the pool for everyone else?
