Because of my ongoing cataract surgery (just one eye so far) I hadn't been to the range since June 15th and I was getting a serious case of withdrawals......I really needed to smell burning powder and hear the CLANG of 230 gr 45 ACP bullets impacting steel.

I was on the range at legal sunrise yesterday morning and started flinging 100 rounds downrange at the 25 yd. gongs with my 5" SA 1911 and thought I was doing fairly good till @Mad Professor pulled in and began to show me how it's done......that ol' boy can shoot !

Went out early this morning. Fired some rounds though the G34 I picked up last night along with G19 and G44. Also tested out some new shotgun loads and got chrono data on rounds that my son and I made up this week. Everything was GTG.

My Covid test is in about an hour, show up at the surgery center at 6:15 a.m. Monday morning and cataract surgery is at 7:30 a.m same as last time.......not any fun getting this done but if my left eye turns out as good as my right eye did I'll be absolutely tickled pink.

And, good luck to you! I'll be an hour behind you! I had my CV test Monday, and still have not heard anything. I guess no news is good news, but they called me with results last time. I'm figuring I used up all my bad luck last time, so this one should be a breeze!

I used to like Bench 9, but that Hoppes Elite is the bomb. Amazon sells 32oz bottles way cheaper than anybody else.

Now if anyone can point me to the latest operator tech, I'd appreciate it.
