Is there anywhere that offers lathe and milling classes? I've wanted one for a while, but know no one close by that could show me how to use it. Anywhere within 3 hours is OK.
The NRA hosts lathe/mill classes at Murray State College. Short week or two classes. Info avail at NRA website
The local votechs normally offer them as evening classes. Just note that the classes normally have a pre-req of blueprint reading, etc.
I'll check more tech centers. The one at Burns Flat doesn't have any, but I'll check the others around the state. Yes, I looked at the NRA schedule but can't get off those weeks.
I saw a sign at Gene Sears looking for a gunsmith teacher for Redlands, Canadian county vo tech or somewhere close. So maybe soon there will be classes in the area.

TTC has a good course - usually two nights a week in Broken Arrow. I made a really cool "pump handle" when I took the class...it was a hollow pump handle.....26" long...
