The assumed requirements are:

Cutting Width: To fit through fence gates, 30" width recommended.
Price: Original was $600 ish.
Design: Rick has mentioned rear engine multiple times. Probably for ease of usage.
Condition: I would recommend a newer mower (better condition) as compared to a cheaper price.
Location: Rick lives in Edmond/OKC area. Limit the search area.

If we're gonna do this we need to do it right. He don't need a hunk of **** that he'll have to have hauled off in a year when it quits.

1) You guys really do not need to do this.
2) If you do, a 30 or 36" cut rear engine mower with electric start would be best. Easy on and off and no yanking on a rope trying to start it. Bagger a plus bit not necessary.

Well sir, I'm campaigning to get 2 grand to buy a new one. But thanks for the help and advise!
