So I was just reading on the Tulsa World site that a horse at the Arabian horse show was vandalized by having its tail cut off!

How mean I thought. And then it said it was cut down to the bone!:lookaroun

I didn't know that horses had tail bones...I guess I thought they just had longer hair that grew freely on their rump, maybe? I don't know. I never really thought about it. So I googled "horse skeleton" and sure enough, they had pictures of a horse's skeleton and it has a tail like a dogs under all that hair. How "bout that?!!

P.S. I still feel sorry for the horse with the bad hair cut.

Anyone that would do that is a low human being. In the Arabian business, the long flowing tail is a huge part of their showring performance. It could take several years to grow it back out.

Lots of people might think it's just a stupid joke, but in any horse business the winning record of a horse is big business. A person or farm could wait years to develop that certain animal and may have many thousands of dollars wrapped up in one. Especially in the Arabian business, the appearance and show ring record is a huge thing.

All this is completely aside from the actual injury and abuse to the animal. That in itself is inexcuseable.
