After looking at the reviews of the Walther, I'd go with a buckmark. I've been shooting a Browning challenger III and a Russian Margolin and I'm very pleased with them, although the browning can be ammo sensitive. The Beretta Neos I fired was also an excellent shooter.

Another to think on, depending on how far you want to go with the steel challenge is S&W's model 41. It's going to cost more but worth every penny invested.
