Get off my lawn.
Although I don't smoke pot, I'd love to see medical marajuana be legal here. I'd immediately become a farmer.

I would also. It's a very interesting plant. Smells nice and looks pretty.

It think I'm going to grow some more tobacco this year.

While I have no real interest in doing pot or farming it, I just have a real awful time reconciling the idea that people who can't even balance a checkbook should decide what I can and cannot put in my body.

I smoked it recreationally for a few years until my job became a reason to stop. I put it down for good that day and only missed it for the next couple days. No withdrawal, no regrets. That was several years ago and low and behold, I have never touched any drug harsher than Bud light.
Addiction is more about the person and their genetic make up I think. If your prone to it, you will find a vise and become addicted. For some its food, some are addictedI to gambling. IMO these 2 are a huge problems that are as destructive as hard drugs. Yet we allow it because??? Its your right to eat the entire pie if you want and then go drop your entire paycheck at the slot machines if you choose to.

I'd have no problem if the no votes would just say "No, it should be illegal because I don't like marijuana or anyone that uses it and I'm glad it's kind of a hassle for them. Fawk 'em."

I just hate it when the no votes come in with faux-science and ridiculous theories about gateways and sob stories about how pot ruined someones life close to them. Just be honest about why you want it illegal, you goobers. There are no logical reasons, so be honest that it's just a personal vendetta. Nobody likes a fibber.

YES.

But the Supreme Court voted NO on reclassifying marijuana last week thus refusing to drop it from the class of drugs it is in, the class of drugs with no medical benefits. So it is going to be awhile before any state makes it totally legal. Obama has said that he isnt going to push things in Colorado and Washington state, for now, so they can act like its totally legal there until the government decides on a day to crack down on them. And they will at some point. I was in California the day last year when the feds raided hundreds of dispensaries and now only a portion of them have reopened. Same will happen in Colorado and Washington. Legal in Oklahoma, not any time soon, or ever. IMO it will be the last state to go legal same as it was with tattooing.

It was an appeals court, not the SCOTUS. And the Court couldn't "reclassify" because the DEA could show that the classification was not entirely arbitrary. The case brought by Americans for Safe Access is weaker than Napoleon Dynamite.

10 foot pole...10 foot pole...10 foot pole.....**** it!

You fail, at what you ask? Fact Checking and Comprehension.

Most drug addiction starts with alcohol and then tobacco, on to prescription drugs, you cant be addicted to something that has been scientifically proven to NOT be physically addicting but is mildly habit forming, which means it is a psychological dependency not an addiction, both of which have clear distinctions.

More people die daily from just one of those Big 3 Industries named above than have ever been harmed in the history of the human race from marijuana. Compassion and healing do not come from giant corporations with thousands of jobs depending on them. Heck from what I have seen of healthcare in general compassion and healing are not part of the program at all.

Do you read through the post before you jump someones ass? I said I KNOW marijuana is NOT addicting itself. People who use it for recreational purposes use it because they like how it makes them feel or like alcoholics try and cover up the pain. In MY experience as a police officer and dealing with drug addicts daily, 9 out of 10 it started with pot. Then they wanted something better so they moved on to other drugs. No where did I say pot was addicting.......read all of my post before you jump my ass.
