I believe it is to late for wild morels in Oklahoma.

I went back to my honey hole on Monday where I had found so many the previous Thursday. Did not see a single one. It's over for me.

I looked when I was shed hunting a couple weeks ago and didn’t find any. I’m afraid if Alfalfa county doesn’t get some rain there won’t be any again this year.
I’m planning to look again when I up the first weekend in April.

We’ve been getting so much rain that it’s too muddy to want to go prowl the draws where we seem to find em.

My wife mentioned yesterday that someone on her facebook page posted they had found 1. I have been looking for the last two weeks but no joy. May go check my spot this afternoon. Cold weather coming in Fri. may put the kibosh on things for a week or so till it warms back up.

P.S. last week when I was out checking, I was measuring 1" soil temps. at 56-58 deg. depending on sun exposure so that should be good enough to get things starting. The ground is plenty wet enough with standing water in certain places.
