I'll give them credit as elevator music pioneers, but not rock pioneers or songwriting geniuses. I lack the desire to hear an effeminate man's lame acid trip stories set to a soundtrack of mediocre to horrible music. Goo goo ga joob.
Stones are a bit overrated I'll admit, but they don't deserve to be on the list.

Springsteen really? He's the total package. Rights music, lyrics, plays it on a pile of instruments, sings it wails it. And it all sounds Great! No way he's overrated. The correct answer is the Beatles, but I'd like to add the name of another band that has sucked since about 1985. Aerosmith sucks. I can't stand that wanna be scat crappin Tyler. They have released the same album over and over again with new repackaged lyrics ever since Permanent Vacation. My god they suck. If you die and go to hell there will be apes on horseback riding around keeping order, you will be painting a wall with a two inch brush, and Aerosmith will be played over the radio.
I absolutely love the Beatles. And all four artists individual works. But I understand why some of you don't. It's all relative.

Off subject, but I heard a pretty good one the other day. It may be old, but it was something to the point of "If you play a country song backwards, your dog comes back to live, your girlfriend comes back, and your truck starts working again."

I'm on the fence on Springsteen. I haven't heard much of his newer stuff, but I absolutely LOVE "Working On a Dream."
Steven Tyler has some ties here in the Tulsa area. Some of my buddies saw him at a gunshow several yrs ago. They went to a table where he was going to buy something from another friend of ours. They said "hey Steven can we get an autograph?" He told them NO! That kind of pissed everyone off that they were glad to see him and he was acting like a total asshat. Then he pulled out his checkbook and started to pay for the item he was buying. My buddy that was running the table said"looks like we are going to get his autograph after all". He stopped writing the check and went and got his wife to sign it. What a total douche bag. Then when everybody was leaving the show he was outside signing autographs for people. Double douche bag. Yeah I wont say anything if someone wants to dis his band and music.
