Legend has it that a small bell attached to your motorcycle, close to the ground, catches the Evil Road Spirits. The Little Gremlins live on your motorcycle causing all kinds of mechanical problems. The cavity of the bell attracts these Evil Spirits, but the constant ringing drives them insane and they lose their grip and fall to the ground. (Have you ever wondered where pot holes come from?)

i make really cool ride bells. it would be ok to transfer it from a bike you are selling to a bike you later acquire. if you have multiple bikes don't just move it back and forth. it's more of a sentiment than anything. i have inherited one of my bells and later a bike, that upon removing the bell for the widow, i placed the bell i made on before riding. keep the shiny side up and be safe.

Well I sell Harley Davidsons, and have seen thousands of bells, it is ok to transfer to a different bike, the bells are supposed to keep away the road demons, and should be mounted to the lowest part of your bike, so it should be on the bottom of the frame.

You know, at the dealership I worked in for years, we did A LOT of wreck estimates, many of which were for the recently deceased. One day, my little buddy Rodney was doing a wreck estimate, and made the observation that almost ALL the wrecks we did had a stupid bell on them.

Needless to say, most of us working in the back that had them removed them from our bikes promptly... just in case. I have never had one, but then I dig chicks...

.

Dave, you slay me brother!! :lmfao::lmfao::lmfao:

On a related note, I've been riding for 30 years and this is the first I've heard of a "Gremlin Bell."
