They’d lived there for a long time before it flooded enough to reach the house, and they’d just finished fixing everything when it flooded again. After the second flood, they built up the foundation high enough that Texoma couldn’t reach it again.Yikes. Sorry to hear that. :/
I grew up with two creek bottoms that overflowed several times per year. Sweetie and I bought high ground.
