Seems like those of you who are hunting the northeast/east side of the state are really into the birds. Central OK is nearly bone dry and the birds don't seem to think about stopping in their migration south. Congrats on the successful hunts.
Ya we normally do a lot of hunting in North Central OK but this year the birds just have not been over there in the numbers that we have come to expect. We have had a few good hunts over there this year but it takes a ton of scouting, and hoping that the land owner has not given permission to someone else since there are so few birds.
Okie4570 and I made a last minute trip to the field out his front door with a limited number of dekes (your looking at them). Managed 3 widgeon in the short time we were out there.
Went to Lexington the past few days and never saw a single duck on any of the ponds I went to. Drove out to Thunderbird and take a peek a day or two ago and saw a few dozen hanging around, but it was after legal shooting hours.
There's a pond inside a residential area on my drive to work though and it had probably 150-200 sitting on it.

I haven't made it out of the office during the daylight in a few days, are the ponds starting to thaw out any?
They were frozen solid this weekend.
Been an incredibly tough season on local public land. Managed two drake pintails and a mallard drake this morning. My buddy's dad is getting one of the bulls mounted.
Shame you blew his head apart...hate when that happens
