Nice looking birds guys!

Things definitely slowed down this weekend. With the ice starting to thaw, the birds had a lot more options. My buddy and I managed 7 today. 3 mallards, 1 gadwall, 1 GWT, and 2 ringnecks. I did get some good camera footage. I'll try to get some pics or video up later.

Shame you blew his head apart...hate when that happens

Yeah he was really pretty. We also found a picture perfect mallard that must have died after getting shot but not falling. Thought about taking him to get mounted but didn't kill it myself so I passed.

Hunted two miles from Salt Plains lake on the river this morning, a few hoodies at first light, a couple gads and that was about it. Everything still iced over here, even the river for the most part, found some open water on the river and it was still SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!

For the first time in my memory, and those older than me, the Arkansas river below Kaw dam has ceased to flow. Its nothing but puddles in the sandbars.
I cross the HWY 77 bridge over the Salt Fork river at least twice a day. There is little to no flow there either, but there is a decent pool to hold fish. Its frozen over as well. Never have seen that either.

I have completely overlooked this thread. Lots of good feathery pictures. I got to play with my Christmas present this morning(camera). Still getting to know it, but I think I will enjoy it.

Oh yeah, had a great hunt this morning as well.

Wow those are great pictures. What kind of setup do you have? Also what software are you using for your editing?
