I liked the idea to find someone with equal name recognition to run against him next time. In addition to his "cloudy" position on the Second Amendment, the County Jail disaster is just out there waiting to be exposed.

On which side of the Second Amendment does Sheriff Whetsel stand?

Saw this website that has an up to date list of sheriffs. Six state sheriffs associations have signed on and 256 individual sheriffs. 3 from oklahoma, wagoner, mccurtain and jackson counties.
I sent an email to Sheriff whetsel since im in OKC even though it may not accomplish anything. Sounds like many people think Whetsel is an uprincipaled politician doing whatever gets him elected. If so, it would seem it would be easy to sway him to our viewpoint if enough people emailed, wrote or phoned him.
And if he does actually have principals then enough people speaking out and giving him reasons to see the light might sway him.
