Been playing since I was 8, my pops was a traveling session musician. I thought I was decent till both my boys 14 and 22 got really interested in all the guitars around laying around here a few years back. My niche is Delta blues, they play everything else. Lol.

I've been scratching the surface of blues music for the past couple of years. I was a late-comer to the genre and now I listen mostly to Kenny Wayne Shepherd, SRV, Ana Popvic and a badass blueswoman form the UK who plays her Tele like she's very angry, Joanne Shaw-Taylor. I've really gotten into the modding and building side of Strats, to the detriment of improving my playing skills.
BTW, I have 2 tix to KWS at the Osage Casino on 9/24 that I may not get to use. Wife is having neck disc surgery next week and may not be up to going...

I play most every day. I play A LOT on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am a volunteer music teacher at a little grade school (preschool through eighth).

I like to play fingerstyle, and fingerstyle jazz. I was a stageband geek in the 1980s.

Jack Rose's playing sounds free and easy. I like it. I need to sit down and work on playing like Andy Mckee. He makes me want to start over all together. Holy cats!! Beautiful.

I have always been interested but have never taken it up. I do have some good friends that play. A co-worker of mine and his band from Pine Bluff Ark. used to travel and open-up for STYX back in the day.

Vintage country, Appalachian, and a little old gospel music. My guitar is an early Takamine knockoff of a Martin D28, sometimes called a 'lawsuit Takamine" because Martin, Washburn, and another company or two sued back in the 60's or 70's because they were making nearly identical Japanese copies of their instruments. I love the old music I heard my dad and his friends play when I was a kid - Hank Williams, Jimmie Rodgers, Lefty Frizell, Hank Thompson, etc. Also like Carter Family, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and a lot of the Austin musicians. Can't listen to the current overproduced Nashville music - I like sparse, gutbucket, back porch country music for country people. Too many pretty boys & girls in the country music business now that didn't eat them beans and wear them jeans growing up. blah! :)

I havent had a guitar in about 6 years but i have the itch to get another. I can play some metallica and black sabbath and bits and pieces of songs here and there. I want a gibson les paul or an SG and then a marshall amp and i'll be good.
