A guy on Armslist did that to me. Agreed on a deal, I was going to drive to Coffeyville that evening, he texted and said he sold it. Armslist is a joke. Just like Craigslist.

Post feedback. Posting in GD without naming the member does nothing for the forum.

This, if it bothers you that bad. I've had a deal go sideways a time or two. Not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things. No one will ever get bad feedback from me (unless they take my money and I don't get the merchandise) but I can assure you all my friends on OSA will know your screen name and what you did. :D (And I have a friend or two here! :D)

Best thing to do is to not deal with a newbie unless you are willing to walk away and not lose sleep if it doesn't happen ... (Says the gal who is off to do a deal with a "Newcomer" later this morning! :rollingla)

So I email this OSA member on a shot gun he has for sale. I made an offer, if the gun checks out. He replies "good with me" agrees to meet to let me look at gun.

I've dealt with rhino2u before and he was a man of his word. Don't know who the other guy in the deal is so I can't speak about him.
Seems the other dude did "agree" to something though and then crawfished on it.

Whatever happened to honor, integrity, respect & common courtesy? What about "a man's word is his bond"? I see a lot of folks acting like it is no big deal, but to me it is just proof of the further erosion of our society. I am really tired of seeing fellow gunowners treat each other poorly.

Let me see if I understand this, you said you made an offer (sounds to me like less than his asking price) pending your approval of the item. Is this correct?

FTF deals are always "pending inspection". And if they'd agreed on a price and the agreement was " I'll take it for $xx if its as advertised" then they've made a deal. Taking a "better offer" is a douche move.
