Having lost/misplaced my wallet with my CCW license inside, I requested a replacement license per OSBI's instructions on their website. I mailed notarized letter explaining the need for replacement with CC information. Their website states I would receive the replacement within 14 days. After 21 days not hearing from OSBI, I called. The Representative I talked with basically could not tell me the status of the replacement license. He said since the matter was in 'process' he could not locate it and I should call back in 10 to 14 days. With my lip zipped tightly shut and my tail between my legs I said I would call back.
Needless to say I am disappointed with the OSBI and their procedures.
And since the penalty for carrying without the license in hand is hefty and time consuming to resolve if stopped, the pistols have resided in the safe for a month.
