I suppose I'm for it, because I think it would lead to more or less what I really want anyway -- a GD with more relaxed rules and moderation. What would happen is that the "Adults Only" section would become the new GD, and the original GD would go by the wayside, as most people who frequent GD would probably prefer being able to discuss things a little more freely, and everyone else would want to be where the action is. It is no secret that our more "colorful" members make GD such an interesting place... like a bad wreck that you can't help but stare at ... and my guess is that most such members would make the Adult forum their new home.

Of course you could save yourself all the effort and just relax things in GD a little. I personally don't care about porn (though a boob gif every now and again is nice), or being able to use ad hominems freely (I generally try to avoid debating at the level of an 8 year old), and I don't feel too stifled by the way language is currently moderated; but I would very much like to be able to freely discuss certain topics that I believe to be of grave importance to the future of this country that are currently off limits, like the threat to freedom posed by police misconduct. If supplanting GD with some sort of "opt in" forum is the only way to make this happen, I suppose I'm for it.

I quit posting some of the weirder stuff because of some of the post about them.
The adult toys stuck in strange places or man caught doing something inappropriate stuff.
Nothing pornish, just some of the stupid thing people do because it wasn't upper crust enough.
I guess if it was an ask only area maybe those members wouldn't be offended as much.

I was called a crack smoking dickhead by an esteemed member, and the only problem I have with that is I'm apparently out of line for calling a guy a waterhead for saying two dykes getting hitched in Tulsa will lead to legal child rape. I mean, is he not a a waterhead?

Really, this is exactly why I think a "dungeon" forum is needed. There are days when I want to just ban the whole lot of you knuckleheads ...

I think he's just pointing out the irony of the fact that he can be censured for his "tone" while others are allowed to attack him directly, personally and obscenely. He dealt with the situation with humor and never really complained about it and still isn't.
