My personal opinion and vote was no and still is. But if it is "the will of the people" then so be it.

If on the regular General Discussions a guy says: "They're washing that week-old Ebola off the pavement. Where's that Ebola going, do you think? I think it's coming to Oklahoma and creeping through my air ducts. It'll be sucking my live corpuscles in a matter of days."
Will I still be able to make fun of him in the General Discussions or will I have to take it to the pit?
Real question. I think things would become too civil that way.

My skins too thin for the pit. Plus they hit below the belt, I ain't about that. I'll stick with all the typical inuendo in GD and prefacing everything with IMO and closing with ymmv. Amen.

Nobody is talking about a porn forum for chrissakes.

We're looking for a forum where we can make jokes and be sarcastic and not get posts deleted and banned. If we had this section, instead of telling someone in GD they are a bumbling fumblefawk and their half-witted ramblings make me weep for future generations...I would take it to that section. They don't have to read it.

Anyone who lived through the bulbboy era knows it wasn't porn that was being deleted. ~50% of my posts were being deleted. I once made a parody thread of "left my gun at H&H" called "left my nun at H&H" with no cursing or mean spiritedness at all and he promptly deleted it even though he couldn't tell me why it was offensive. Hard to know where the line is after that era.

I don't want a "porn forum". I want a forum where I can talk to people like the guys at deercamp talked to me when I was 12 fawking years old, without someone who had apparently lived a creepily coddled life getting offended. It blows my mind how easily offended people are sometimes. Especially since we all "hate the PC left". Clean yet snarky comments I would say in ftont of my nigh-90 year old grandmother get me admonished here.

I'm a hunter and a gun enthusiast that works in steel shops. I talk like this IRL. I'd wager a good portion of the crew is similar.

The Christian equivalent of IMO and YMMV is "Bless their heart". You can get away with any dig, as long as it's prefaced by that.
