My neighbor used to use cat food and a large live trap. He then covered the trapped skunk with a blue tarp and loaded on the trailer behind his golf cart. Away he would go to the boat ramp and back it in. He always claimed that he could never find a skunk that could swim. I told him he cheated because he expected the skunk to swim away, carrying the cage! He sure cleared out our skunk problem, PRONTO.
