Nice Dennis! Did you put a fifth wheel in the bed or go the gooseneck route??????? That way if I need to borrow it I don't have to borrow your truck too :)

:laugh6:

Went with the Ultimate Anderson hitch that uses the ball in the bed for an anchor point. Takes two minutes to remove it leaving an empty truck bed.
About 5 minutes to install it. Weighs 38 lbs.

Hope the gasser does good for you, I ran big block Fords and Chevy's for years. I like my diesels, almost everyone I know who pulls anything other than a small trailer and buys a gas truck always wishes they would've bought a diesel a few months after buying it. I made a huge mistake of buying a v-10 Ford one time, it was a beautiful truck and ran great while it was empty but it was a gutless wonder when I put a trailer behind it, I traded it off because I couldn't sell it nobody would even give me close to payoff for it. I had it in the dealer constantly telling them it wouldn't pull, had a 30ft enclosed car hauler and had to floor it to get it over the Arbuckle's. The service manager told me I would've been happier with a diesel, the salesman said when I was buying it that it would pull anything I had and I would be happy with it because they were cheaper to maintain, never believe a damn salesman! Other than being a gutless wonder, a gas hog and having no re-sale value it was a nice truck! I traded for a Cummins 4x4 dually with a 6spd standard and never bought a gasser again, that was almost 20 years ago, and I just bought a '13 Ram 4x4 dually about 6 months with 30,000 miles on it and couldn't be happier, it has 800 ft lbs of torque with a 3.54 rear end and will run faster than I care to pull a trailer and it turns 1600 rpm's at 70mph so its barely even working.

That is a sweet looking rig front to back. Look forward to hearing how the truck does on your adventures.

Haven’t been to the big mountains yet with it but was pleased with the performance of the truck assisted by the 10 speed tranny. Cruise control at 70 mph all the way home.
First trip over the mountains will be the arbuckles on our trip to South Tx later on this year. Get a better idea then.
