OKLAHOMA CITY -- Some Oklahoma lawmakers want the state to regulate the use of stun guns.
Currently there are no state regulations for the use of these devices and training to use them is not provided to law enforcement officers.
State Rep. Mike Shelton said a study on the issue would help evaluate if regulations should be put in place.
Are regulations a good substitute for common sense?
If the police can't be trusted with stun guns, it's not much of a jump to outlawing them for regular citizens or making us go through boring, expensive, near useless training.
