I don't agree with it. My solution is if your dog - regardless the breed - attacks someone, you, the dog owner, get charged with the equivalent crime as if you did it. That should help people put a little more thought into the "my dog wouldn't hurt a fly" attitude.

I'm not sure I would go that far, but I would definitely agree that owners of dogs, no matter the breed, should be held responsible for their dog's actions. Now if the dog develops a habit, yeah assault charges seem to be warranted at that point.

If certain breeds become resticted to own, where do those dogs go, what happens to them? Is there really a problem with a whole breed of dog or certain ones? Why dont they go after all the white/black dogs or the short/long dogs.

Municipalities already stick their noses into their citizens' lives to a ridiculous level, trying to make sure everybody's yard is pretty, banning non-running cars in driveways, and lots of other crap that is none of their business. Just one reason I can't wait until I can afford an acreage in the country. People in our society really don't seem to know how to live and let live.
