None that I know of and he clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

I am sure there is some story behind it... it could be as petty as a speeding ticket... or something more egregious (in the armslist poster's mind).

Have you seen any LE talking about forming a militia? That's news to me.

No but if I did and it was an LEO I knew and trusted I might be tempted to join.

I don't have a clue what that dude is talking about...I'm in Austin. But I have thought about the oath our military takes and wonder at what point a person or group of people would take action based on defending the Constitution over unlawful orders. These days it seems like you can twist anything (legally) to get around the Constitution. For example, ANY law ANYWHERE in this country that restricts an individual's right to bear arms, is illegal.

There may be a story behind it... the OP's a nut. Just my opinion.
There may be something that the feds (FEMA, etc) have in their black ops bag but I can't see local LE where I live doing anything.
