SB1785 was signed by the governor today. SB1785 allows residents of non-permitting concealed carry states (WY, AZ, AK, VT) to use their drivers license as a permit to carry in Oklahoma. Thinking about it, maybe Sykes was waiting for this to pass, then Thursday they may hear HB2522 in conference committee and write it as constitutional carry and try to pass it since SB1785 would recognize constitutional rights of citizens from other states. Then if they can't get constitutional carry passed, they would still have SB1733 to fall back on. I'm only speculating but it seems somewhat logical.

Now that would really be nice. I sure hope your right.
I just hope they don't dink around and run out of time. I'd take 1733 and call it good (till next year)
+1 ...... I'll take Baby steps if necessary! A Bird in hand is better than one in the bush I've always heard. Besides, I can't see the government giving up the income and control that the permit gives it.

hope this passes. was informed at 2nd job if it passes will be expected to oc at work. 1st job oc no problem (gun club)

We are waiting on Sykes to put in the agenda to be heard. Then if it passed the vote, it goes to the desk of Mary Fallin.
Contact Sykes office and tell him nicely to get busy and get this to the floor for vote.
