April 26 was the last day for bills to be heard in the opposite chamber. Since it was heard yesterday, it is now passed back to the house of origin and they have until May 25 to get something done with it.

Responded to the newsok one in the comments. Man some people really have no clue.
Judging by the video tease for the story.. it looks like KOCO is going to do a hatchet job on the open carry bill this Monday at 6pm. News 5's Wendell Edwards sounded like he was about to wet his panties as he talked about open carry and the public's safety... whether they carried a gun or not.

Stinks the media has taking interest in this. It would have been nice if it had just passed and then they figured out what was going on.
And have it screamed from the rooftops that we "snuck it in" under the radar somehow? I don't think so...
I love how it has passed both legislative houses overwhelmingly this time. Funny how it didn't have the support last year. Was there that much turnover? I don't think so... but glad we've been able to convince our legislators that we are responsible and capable of being allowed to (somewhat) exercise our constitutional rights.
If you respond to this or similar things in social media or elsewhere, be reasonable and likeable in your tone. The gun-fearers are not going to change their minds - aim instead at those sitting on the fence. The public needs to know that gun owners and 2A advocates are good people. A hard nose approach or put down is going to turn people away.
